Geocoding, Reverse Geocoding and Routing

Using SpatialDB we are able to make a SQL Express database with all the South African Roads, Provinces, Landuse and Suburb data, that can be looked up spatially to perform Geocoding, Reverse Geocoding and routing all on the database.
The database is 1Gigabyte in size with all spatial indexed.
This gives a lightweight cost effective solution in this application arena.
The data we tested with was provided by MAPIT http://www.mapit.co.za/. |
